Argya Dhyaksa
In this work he tries to tell about "Yellow newspaper" or "yellow journalism" in journalism terms means a newspaper that is based on illusion, imagination, and fantasy, thus making it known as a journalistic strategy that sells sensation rather than substance. One of the characteristics of the yellow newspaper is using an approach that emphasizes elements of sex, conflict, and crime. While verbally, the methods used in the yellow newspaper include various types of plagiarism and fraud, for example fake stories and interviews, even fictitious news titles that are misleading. Resentment is felt when recently, the media--both online, printed, and electronic--slowly turn into yellow newspapers in search of consumers because the easier access to the media makes the majority of the public more interested in arbitrary, lengthy headlines. but not contained, and contains elements of forced humor. This work is performed in the same breath as the yellow newspaper where the installation of objects and letters made of ceramics are arranged to form provocative, sensational and dramatic writing. The choice of diction in this work is made more illogical with the aim of creating a sensational effect that steals the reader's attention. Indirectly, this work wants to criticize how the public responds to various sensational-but-fictional news stories that are familiar to our daily life; how the news is deliberately made for the entertainment of the people or to cover up other issues that are more crucial. Quoting Grayson Perry, "No matter how brash a statement I make, on a pot it will always have certain humility..." it is hoped that the public is intelligent enough to respond rationally and not dissolve in fictional sensations.
